Meet Your Therapist

Welcome! My name is Nakita Ali and I am the owner and therapist at Love & Light Journey, LLC. I am licensed in the State of Florida as a Registered Mental Health Counselor. I attended Nova Southeastern University, where I obtained a Master of Science in Clinical Psychology. During my undergrad, I attended University of Phoenix, where I obtained a Bachelor of Science in psychology and an Associate of Arts, with a concentration in psychology.

You might say that’s a lot of psych studies, but I majored in the field for two reasons: the intrigue of the human mind and the motivation to help others navigate through the challenges of life and regain a sense of purpose.

You might be interested to learn that in the field of psychology, there is not much that you can do with undergraduate degrees as it pertains to one’s career. For this reason, and the drive to gain experience and insight, I put myself in the field by obtaining jobs in mental health facilities and treatment court programs. In my educational and professional pursuits, I have been a counselor, advocate, coach, mentor, and support system for clients from all different walks of life.
